ESOX GAME RESULTS

ESOX 5, Metro Merchants 4

Edina did salvage the final game of the Victoria Tournament with a 5-4 victory over the Metro Merchants on Sunday afternoon.

It appeared Edina was headed down a similiar path of getting out to a slow start, leading to a frustrating defeat. In the 1st, Edina allowed two hits and an error as the Merchants gained an early 2-0 advantage. Edina answered right away in the bottom half of the inning as red hot Brashad Johnson homered for Edina. Johnson finished 1-3, HR, 2 RBI, and a run scored. Kyle McDermott and Carl Ermisch added multi-hit games for Edina.

Edina's starting pitcher Brandon Agneberg played a big part in Edina's success by pitching a complete 9 inning game and establishing a good tempo for the ESox defense. Agneberg allowed 7 hits, struck out 4, and walked 3.
