Two bad innings doomed Edina's efforts for a comeback victory against St. Louis Park on Wednesday night. 10 stranded runners, 7 walks, and 3 errors allowed by Edina was too much for Edina to overcome against a very good team. Park did all of its damage in the 3rd and 5th innings scoring 4 runs in each inning. In the 3rd inning a single, walk, error, single, single, and another error yielded Park's first 4 runs. In the 5th an error, double, homerun, single, single, walk allowed Park's other 4 runs. Catcher Dave Lindstrom belted a 2-run homer in the 5th.
For the ESox, newcomer SS Alex Smith led the offense going 3-4 with 2 doubles, single, 2 RBI, and a run scored. Jack Scheckinger and Erik Nelson also had multi-hit games for the Sox.
